The Triathlon will take place on July 31 and will be open to children ages 6-13.  Participants will receive a T-shirt, race number and goody bag.  This race is designed to teach kid's about confidence without the pressure of too much competition.  The swim will be held in our indoor lap pool, while the bike and run will be outside on safe volunteered manned courses.

Ages 6-7
25 yard swim, 1K bike, 0.4K run

Ages 8-10
100 yard swim, 5K bike, 1K run

Ages 11-13
200 yard swim, 8K bike, 2K run

Registration will begin May 1.  The fee is $30 per child with a USA Triathlon (USAT) membership (required).  Please sign up for the membership at www.usatriathlon.org.  The fee is $5 per year and goes to USAT.

This clinic will give out information on how to train for a triathlon and get tips on all three sports.  Parents are welcome to attend to see if this is a sport their child may be interested in and to see what the sport is all about.  The children will learn how to set up their transition area as well as go over all the equipment they need to compete in a race.  Athletes will learn how to follow course signs, get a proper bike helmet fit and practice their transitions.

This training is designed for those that need someone to help them understand exactly what to do during a race and how to prepare for that day. They will get lots of information on training; proper form and technique for each sport and practice in transitioning from one to the next.
