Class Descriptions

Yoga Fundamentals/Beginner Series -This class will take you on thru the fundamentals of yoga by breaking down poses and help with understanding the difference between all our yoga programming: Flow, Slow Flow, Yin and Power. This is a great class for anyone just starting on your yoga journey or anyone that wants to get back to basics and exceed their goals on their yoga journey.

Sol Stretch- This class is designed to fit into your busy schedules. Join us for a warm 30 minute stretching series to get you ready for a class, to restore you after a class, or just to breathe and stretch for 30 minutes.  

Sol Strong- This class is designed to increase strength through yoga with weight training. You will use both body weight and hand weights to move through your Vinyasa flow.  Emphasis on weight training, core and light cardio. Challenging class but open for all levels. Weights are optional and Strong will follow a basic yoga format including warm up, Vinyasa, cool down and meditation

Family Flow- Bring your kids ages 4-12 for a wonderful bonding experience on the mat at Sol. We take the heat down to a body melting 75 for our kiddos to experience what we do on the mat.  All children are encouraged to attend, be themselves, laugh, fidget, cry, fail and FLY!! Bring your whole family

Sol Reflect- If you are looking for a space away from the chaos of the world, Reflect is for you. Classes will incorporate a mix of Qigong, Tai-Chi, Mindfulness, movement, meditation and yoga to create an environment for you to cultivate stillness, peace and deep reflection.  

Sol Roll- Just a regular flow yoga class that incorporates different massage techniques like rolling and do it yourself massage ideas to strengthen and release the body on a new Sol level.

Flow - This class will bring you Standing Poses and Sun Salutations to hip openers and spinal twists, expect a little of everything in this class suitable for beginners and experienced practitioners looking for a well-rounded practice that includes both strength and flexibility. (95 degrees) 

Yin - Warm but not too warm. Expect long deep stretches and Yin postures that work on opening connective tissue and deeply stored tension in the body, this is also Excellent for beginners and for athletes looking for a calming, deep stretch. (85-90 degrees)

Slow Flow - This class is a more open formatted class that will emphasize exploration of both the familiar and the new. Each class will include a slower flow practice to allow you to get familiar with each pose, get a little deeper, and hold postures, and releasing muscular tension, as well as the opportunity to challenge you in both basic and intermediate asanas with a lengthy relaxation to bring it home. (85-90 degrees)

Hot - This is the "classic" hot yoga class. Expect 26 postures repeated twice in the 90 minute class with some reductions for the 60 minute offering. No music, just breath, sweat and an intense experience that will leave you feeling strong and focused. An unchanging format means you can see your practice grow and change each week. (105 degrees)

Inner Fire Flow (IFF) - This class is a moderately paced Vinyasa flow with some longer holds and plenty of heat! Inner Fire Flow is a sequenced class — meaning it is always the same order of poses — which combines many of the foundations of classic yoga poses found in a HOT yoga class with well-known Power Flow sequences. Because it is the same sequence every time, it enables practitioners to let go of external focus, calm the mind and experience the moment to its fullest, connecting being with breath. An Inner Fire Flow class will leave you feeling strong, energized, cleansed and centered. This class is offered in both a 60-minute sequence and a 75-minute sequence. (105 degrees)

Serenity Flow - This class combines the best of both worlds. You will start with a vigorous flow that will start the sweat pouring, then transition into a gentle Yin sequence and mediation to send you to a peaceful night’s sleep. (85-90 degrees)

Yoga Core - This class will leave you feeling long, lean, strong, and relaxed. A fusion of Pilates/core work and yoga to both work and open the body. Great for those who would like to improve core and low back strength. (90 degrees)

Hot Yoga FAQ's

1. What is Hot Yoga?
The term Hot Yoga is a general term used to describe a yoga class where the temperature of the air in the studio is between 85 and 105 degrees fed with an HVAC unit and humidity control so you can sweat without the overwhelming feeling of being too hot. You will find we do all types of Yoga for your practice in the HOT studio and the temperature can range anywhere between 85 and 105 degrees. Humidity will be controlled between 50 and 55%.

2. Will I see some of my favorite PAC Yoga instructors teaching HOT yoga?
Yes, we will be doing some training with our current staff as well as hiring new instructors for some of our Yoga classes that require certain training we cannot provide. Their very purpose will be to teach a safe and amazing class catered to your every need.

3. Will there be Yoga classes that are NOT hot?
Yes, we will keep some Yoga on the Group Fitness schedule that is NOT hot. They will continue to be in our current studio 3.

4. How many classes will be added to the schedule?
We will start with a few in the early am between 5:30-6 a.m., a few during the 8:30 a.m. time frame, two or three during the noon time and two to three each night. We will build from there based on need. We plan to have many offerings with all different Yoga practices.

5. Will there be an extra cost on top of the PAC membership price?
Currently Madison area Hot Yoga studios are charging between $80 and $109 per month for classes or between $14 and $22 per class. Yes, you will pay extra for our HOT classes and the price will be based on membership, but they will be considerably lower because you are a member. We will also have a non-member Yoga only membership option as well that will be comparable to other studios. 

6. Why is there an extra cost?
We want to be able to offer the most relaxing and nourishing environment we can and allow you to have the best experience possible when coming to our beautiful spa like studio. We can do that by getting the best heat and humidity controlled environment possible, the most eco friendly and non-toxic flooring offered, top notch instructors with extensive backgrounds waiting to serve your every Yoga need while also including a relaxation room where you can relax before and after class and enjoy some tea or water while you decompress for the day. We have put a lot of thought and research into this studio to exceed every need and want. I promise you will not be disappointed.
