Prairie Athletic Club Tri Team Race Day Prep


Race Day Prep will help you prepare for race day.  We are offering 
a clinic that is suited for beginners and intermediate participants. The clinics will cover topics like what to expect during your first race, what its like to swim in open water with other people, how to get into your wet suit, how to set up transition, course overviews, etc.

CLINIC DATES
May 20 - Lake Mills -Sprint/Olympic Distance ($10)
Arrive at 7:30 a.m.
7:45 a.m. - Swim talk & race tips
8:00 a.m. - Swim start 15-20 minutes
8:20 a.m. - Transition from swim to bike, short discussion on hydration and bike tips
8:50 a.m. - Wheels down, bike the 16 mile course, this is a no drop ride
Off the bike start your run which is 10 minutes out and back 10 minutes on the gravel trail. Runners run at their own pace.
10:30 a.m. - Wrap up questions


May 28 - 70.3 Madison-Half IM Distance ($15)
Arrive at 6:30 a.m.
6:45 a.m. - Swim talk & race tips
7:00 a.m. - Start the swim (30 minutes)
7:30 a.m. - Transition from swim to bike, transition tips & bike instruction
8:00 a.m. - Wheels down bike 56 miles...We will provide bike sag throughout the course as well as an aid station at the halfway point which will have bananas and Gatorade. The run will be 30-40 minute out back
***Park in the Olin Park Boat Launch Parking Lot***
We will meet in the field next to the Olin Park boat launch


June 25 - Pardeeville- Sprint/Olympic Distance ($10)
Arrive at Chandler Park by 6:30 a.m.
7:00 a.m. - Swim start 15-20 minutes
7:45 a.m. - Wheels down, bike the 16 mile course
The run will be 10 minutes out and back 10 minutes

July 9 - Racine & Door County- Half IM Distance ($15)
Arrive at 6:00 a.m.
6:15 a.m. - Shuttle to swim start (approximately 1/2 mile)
6:30 a.m. - Swim talk and race tips
6:45 a.m. - Start the swim-Lake Kegonsa
7:30 a.m. - Transition from swim to bike, transition tips & bike instruction
8:15 a.m. - Wheels down. We will be riding a 16 mile loop, so you have the option of riding it up to three times for a total distance of 48 miles. We will provide bike sag throughout the course as well as an aid station. The run will be a 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back.


August 20 - Big Brick for IM WI-Ironman Distance ($20)
Arrive at 6:00 a.m.
6:15 a.m. - Swim talk & race tips
6:30 a.m. - Start the swim, one hour in length
7:30 a.m. - Transition from swim to bike, transition tips & bike instruction
8:15 a.m. - Wheels down bike the entire course
The run will be out 30 minutes and back 30 minutes  

These clinics will be for PAC Team members however we will allow non-team members to join us for a drop in fee.  If the clinic is cancelled due to inclement weather you will be notified via email within 12 hours of arrival time. Refunds will be given if the clinic is cancelled.
