What is Excel

Excel Sports Performance is a sports conditioning program and an essential training tool for any athlete.  It is a weekly training regimen structured to push you to the top of your game.  Success is achieved through motivation and determination.  From the moment you sign up, you become a part of a team that meets, trains and succeeds as a unit!  (Note: This class is not for those who like to take it easy.) DO NOT JOIN THIS PROGRAM IF YOU WANT TO COAST!  WE WORK HARD!

Our Excel Sports Performance program is designed to progress the competitive athlete and take them "over the top" by incorporating explosive, core and stabilizing strength and sprint drills into a 60- or 90-minute package.  Classes meet twice each week and participants are expected to complete at least one additional individual workout per week. 

Participants may register online or sign up at the front desk.  A participant waiver (with parental signature for those under 18 years of age) is required prior to participation.  Informational brochures, including the waiver, are available on the Information Board.

Excel

Basic Excel
This class is designed for the young athlete ages 9 to 11 and focuses primarily on movement education, including running form, coordination, agility and body awareness.  High impact training will be avoided.

Intermediate Excel
This class is for competitive athletes, ages 12 and up, who are new to Excel and have not yet become accustomed to our training progressions.  Speed, power, core and balance drills will be incorporated.  Class is held twice per week with a required third workout completed independently.  Pre-teen weight training certification will be included. Advanced Excel
This class is for athletes, ages 14 and up, who have mastered some of the highest progressions in our program.  Drills include high-impact plyometric work and several planes of movement requiring advanced body mechanics.  This class is more intense and more specific to the athletes' individual sport and position.  Instructors must evaluate any athlete who participates at this level.  Leave contact informatoin at the front desk and an instructor will get in touch with you. Runner Excel
Runner Excel will concentrate on improving leg strength, running mechanics, foot speed and endurance training. A large focus will be on injury prevention through pelvic and joint stabilization, anterior leg pain (shin splints) and deep water running.

Water Conditioning Class
Join our staff as they take you through condition and strength-training drills in the lap pool. Participants will meet in the lap pool with a swim suit and a t-shirt. Participants must be able to stand inthe lap pool and have basic swimming skills.

This class is designed to teach the athlete strength training lifts and techniques specific to their sport. This class can be combined with any of the other Excel classes and participants will receive $10 off.

We offer sport-specific or specialized Excel programs in the summertime. Participants will incorporate movements and conditioning techniques specific to the sport. Train hard this off-season to be at the top of your game!
