Learn to teach children and adults safety, survival, swimming skills and teach your community about water safety. It's a lot fun and you will develop valuable teaching and leadership skills. Plan now to learn how to teach water safety, six levels of Learn to Swim, three levels of Preschool aquatics and two levels of Parent and Child aquatics.
Certification includes Water Safety Instructor (WSI).

The course is pass/fail, no refunds if a student fails to complete the course requirements or fails to attend every class.
Class meets on the following dates:
April 27th 9-10am Prerequisite (in person)
Online done at home
June 7th 4-6pm, June 8th 8am-6pm, June 9th 8am-6pm
To participate in the Water Safety Instructor course, individuals must be 16 years of age on or before the final scheduled lesson of this cours and demonstrate the ability to perform the following skills:
1. Swim the follow strokes consistent with the Stroke Performance Charts
Front crawl, 25 yards
Back crawl, 25 yards
Breastroke, 25 yards
Elementary backstroke, 25 yards
Sidestroke, 25 yards
Butterfly, 15 yards
2. Maintain position on back for 1 minute in deep water (floating or sculling)
3. Tread water for 1 minute
